Built completely out of western red cedar, using plenty o dowel joinery and tasteful brass screws, this is a bit of a departure from the original plan which incorporated just 12 pieces of wood in its basic form and sometimes featured a footrest as well as storage under the seat. Fit the legs to the seat of the adirondack chair, as shown in the diagram. Drill pilot holes and insert 1 1/4″ screws to lock the legs to the seat of the chair. Add glue to the joints and align the edges.

The backrest height is a huge point. You are a tall person and you must get this spot on. Remember you are being driven by the reason of comfort that these chairs provide.
This Adirondack chair may be too hard to check out since it is loaded with pillows and accents but this just proves that this type of chair is perfect for outdoor relaxation. This is made from recycled wooden pallets which were weatherproofed and cut into the desired shape. This chair holds true to its traditional design with its long armrests and a swooping seat. Can you imagine relaxing or taking a nap here?
Part of the appeal to these types of chairs is that you can sit low, relax and forget about all your troubles. But as a tall person, these seats that sit as low as 6 inches from the ground, can be a little tricky to maneuver.
