Built completely out of western red cedar, using plenty o dowel joinery and tasteful brass screws, this is a bit of a departure from the original plan which incorporated just 12 pieces of wood in its basic form and sometimes featured a footrest as well as storage under the seat. Meanwhile, about 40 miles west of Saranac Lake, Boston native Thomas Lee set about making a simple but comfortable chair from which family members could enjoy the view of Lake Champlain from behind the Lee’s summer home in Westport, New York. .

The weight of this chair is fairly heavy but as I mentioned before, having a heavier outdoor chair isn’t actually a bad thing. With it weighing 45lbs it’s going to be difficult to be blown around in all but the strongest of winds.

If you’re looking for something that has a larger capacity, you can find them it will just take a bit of work (or make it easy on yourself and read my reviews above!). There are some chairs out there that have a max capacity of 500lbs but you might lose some comfort when you need more durability.
The price of poly lumber has gone up during the past 5 months due to COVID shortages. Our suppliers have notified us that more price increases are on the way. Please note that during the busy season (March, April, May, June and July) we can only accept a small portion of order requests due to demand that is much higher than we can handle. Consider buying furniture during the Fall and Winter when supply and demand are more balanced.
Overall...great plans! Just finished building my first. Couple tips for building not mentioned. Cut and sand your back slats to the inside of the lines so they don't wind up being slightly too wide to fit when fanned at the bottom. Also, when assembling the table portion...Join the table to the chairs in the middle first. THEN afterward cut your long runners that span across the chairs at the front and back to fit. Also be sure to keep parts E & D vertically parallel and equidistant at the top and the bottom so that your table top pieces will space evenly across. Very fun to build. Very comfortable. Thanks!

Participants were invited to put fruits and veggies into a blender attached to a stationary bike. Then, they peddled it to create their very own smoothie. The kids were thrilled to taste the nutritious snack they had just created.

We are building Adirondack chairs to welcome the warm weather of Spring. Each project must be created using at least one power tool. Make sure to check out these other projects. Links to each project are below the image.
