Gene, that is a great chair. The various angular shapes make it look very modern. I especially like the back view. Thanks as well for the history of the chair. You’ve given me some interesting ideas to explore for some of my future chair projects. .
Since it’s made out of such a tough durable plastic you don’t have to worry about it getting damaged from the elements outside. A big part of this is thanks to it being waterproof this is a nice advantage to this Adirondack chair that some others don’t.
Next the two front legs are attached using three, 1⁄4” by 2″-long carriage bolts. Clamp the legs in position before drilling. The correct position is 113⁄4” from the bottom of the leg to the bottom of the front crosspiece.

What makes this such a comfortable chair is how it’s wider and taller than your average chair. It’s roughly 4 inches wider than the standard models and has a 6 inch higher back as well. Foldable chairs: This type of chair has hinges that allow you to fold it flat for easy storage, which is great if you don’t have a lot of storage space. They’re often made of wood that can’t be left out in tough weather. Foldable chairs are also more portable if you want to take them camping or on vacation.
These are awesome! I love that you used a pattern for the pieces. I have no doubt your entire family will enjoy the nice weather…when it finally arrives, in your new chairs! Pinned!

One thing we’re less impressed with is the fact that some of the plans are listed as “premium” and the site charges for those, but this plan is free. Check it out here.
While most colors will only need to be cleaned a few times a year, colors like white, gray, or ivory and other lighter colors will need to be cleaned more often to maintain their original beauty. For the lighter colors, rub the furniture with a soft bristle brush and rinse off with warm, clean water. If needed, you can use a high-pressure washer; be sure to hold the nozzle more than 12″ away from the furniture when using the pressure washer.
One thing that is often overlooked with these chairs is why they’re slightly heavier. While this chair weighs 33lbs which isn’t too heavy, some people will think it’s too heavy for a chair. The reason they’re heavier then your average chairs is it helps keeps them from being blown around in the wind outdoors. So having a bit of extra weight isn’t a bad thing.
