Why you must have your own web site
The Internet evolved from a “nice to have” to a “MUST HAVE” feature in our daily lives.
Especially for businesses it became a must to have your own web site. More and more people turn to the Internet to find information or to search for products. If your business does not have a web site you will be loosing out on a large percentage of potential clients.
It also makes business sense to have your own web site. If your web site has been setup correctly and submitted to the major search engines you will enjoy a great deal of free traffic. That is people who will find your business while they are searching for a product or service and you do not have to pay any advertising fees to get those visitors on your web site. We call this “organic traffic”
I run about 30 web sites and make a living from the Internet. For the past 8 years I never spent more than R100 per month on advertising and during the past 2 months I moved it up to R500 per month because I am launching a new product. Yet I get many visitors each month on my web sites.
A good example of organic traffic (and word of mouth of course) is http://www.hilux4×4.co.za . If you do a search for Toyota Hilux or Hilux you will see it at the top of the ranks on about all the major search engines. The site is2 years old now and it receives more than 63,000 visits per month. Guess how much I spent on advertising during these two years? A big total of R223.00 in two years time. This will not work for all web site, but even most of my “inactive” web sites receive about 2,000 visits per month without me spending a cent on advertising.
I will repeat what I said previously. If you run your own business and you do not have your own web site yet, you are loosing out BIG TIME.
So why don’t businesses get their own web sites?
- First of all costs. Their are some schizeters out there who charge clients tens of thousands of rands for a basic web site and then also charge them an arm and a leg to do updates on the web site. – this need not be so
- Lack of knowledge. Some business owners would love to do it themselves but they lack the knowledge or are scared of computers. – this need not be so
- They do not see the need for a web site – I explained this above
Three Years ago I would agree that not everybody could setup their own web sites. But with the current technology available today I can even teach a 50 year old how to build his/her own web site.
There are no excuses anymore. Anybody can do it and it is not as expensive as some companies out there make you believe it is.

I am spending too much on adwords, thanks for your help!
I currently run an adwords campaign which is costly.Does your DVD show how to build up the organic traffic to an existing website while phasing out my adwords spend or do the relevant keywords etc. have to be built in from inception.
My video shows how to install the seo plugin which will give you the opportunity to enter the correct keywords.
