SurveyBasket paid me 4 times this month
OK, may people ask me about SurveyBasket so I decided to give you the facts as it is.
So far I made R815.00 from SurveyBasket after I paid my R75.00 activation fee on 19 Feb 2010.
I must admit that only R55.00 came from completing surveys and the rest from referrals. The fact that there were not many surveys do not bother me yet, as I previously mentioned, they are a new company and will add new surveys as they get more companies involved.
The important part is that
- they do offer a 100% money back guarantee to those who are not happy and
- that they did actually pay the money into my bank account.
It seems to me that their system is triggered once the balance in your account is more than R100. On the screen shots below you will see that they paid me 4 times this month, a total of R600 for the month. (Remember that 10 Baskets = R1, thus 800 baskets = R80)

Guys – this is a classic pyramid scheme. All the revenue is coming from the R75′s from referals as the breakdown between surveys and referals shows. They always run out of steam and the last guys in lose. The people who set the thing up always win.
Andrew I hope you are wrong, do you have prove of this statement? The owner of that site has much more to loose if this is a pyramid scheme than the measly little R75 each of us invested.
Hi Pieter
The thing about this kind of scheme is getting hundreds of thousands of people to part with a small amount of money through viral marketing (referals on facebook links, email that kind of thing). Throw a few surveys out for ligitimacy. But – they keep R55 out of every R75 sign up fee – so they can afford to throw some money around. If you do the maths it’s pretty clever. But as with all similar schemes once the potential market for people stumping up R75 is saturated the last lot of referees don’t get their R20′s – end of scheme. If people start to generate more income from surveys than referals – I’ll eat humble pie. Time will tell
Only difference here is by now I received R80 for surveys after I paid R75 to join and I am sure everybody get the same Surveys. So it seems to me like your theory does not work because they already paid out more than what they got in.
You need to look at it as a whole. You’re a top referer so you need to be kept sweet to refer more people. If you look at the revenue produce from your referals they are still quids in. Anyway good luck with it – we’ll see in due course.
Soos ek sê ek is geen belastingkundige nie, maak dus seker by jou rekenmeester
Pieter, although I know that usually you’re rather negative about these, I would appreciate your comments on the following, from overseas (Thanks – Philip)

@Phillip – I have not subscribed to these services but from what I see on their web sites my guess is that they are doing pretty much the same what hbiz is doing. They teach you how to place ads containing affiliate links. The earnings stats images on both sites are typical affiliate earning stats. The first one is typical Clickbank stats. That is why they say “the job pays you” They teach you how to place affiliate links in ads and when somebody act on your ad and buy something you earn commission. Thus the company nether pays you themselves.
I also suspect that both these sites belong to the same person or company. They were registered two months from each other and uses the same private registration details.
I received another Survey today and got paid 250 baskets (R25) for it. The survey was about which banks you have accounts with, etc. This now brings the total I earned from Surveys to R80 which is more than what I paid to register. Up to now I also earned R1,100 from referrals.
Hey Piet, how did you manage to get so many referrals?
@Dan, I posted three posts on this blog and I also emailed the mailing list of people who already bought my eBook.
