Should I remove Offerforge and Traffic Synergy?

Here is another question and answer I received from one of my readers:

Question:

2. OfferForge and TrafficSynergy have not earned me anything yet. When I asked them about this it was suggested to me that I write articles to fit in with their adverts. While I see the logic behind this I cannot see myself doing it on this website. I think it is an issue for another website which will tax my ingenuity and literary skills. I must say I am intrigued by the idea and look at it as a challenge. The Google Adds are earning me some money. I am considering removing all the TrafficSynergy adverts from my website.

Answer:

Offerforge and Trafficsynergy will work best if you write articles for a specific product but it is not compulsory if you have enough traffic. The only place where I have specific articles for them is on www.versekering.com but I make my most money from them on sites like www.digiprop.co.za and www.hilux4×4.co.za . I just stick the banners on there and the banners are not always related to the subject. Like insurance, does not matter if your client are reading stories or looking for a property, if he owns a car his a potential client for insurance.

Nothing wrong with removing their ads. I do it all the time, if something did not earn me commission within a week or two I remove it.

I do the same with banner campaigns within Offerforge and TrafficSynergy as well. I put it up, if it does not produce results within a week I remove it because it robs me of a potential income.

Additional Comments:

If you are promoting a product as an affiliate it is a very good idea to create a specific page for a specific product. You will get good results from it. But as I said it is not the only way to do it. Although it might work better that way do not let it stop you from earning money just because you do not have the time to create a web page for each product. As I said if you have the traffic you can earn irrespective if the page is relevant to the ad or not. A good example is a newspaper web site like news24.com. The banner ads they run are not related to the storie they publish, but yet they make a killing from it.

I nether stick to certain campaigns, I regularly try new campaigns. On www.digiprop.co.za I found that if I leave a campaign on for too long the income tapers off. The moment I load new campaigns I have a sudden increase in income. I think this is because your regular visitors have seen the ads and got used to it, the moment there is something new it catches their eyes. Try a banner and if it does not produce results delete it and try something else.

You must even do this within different catergories. For many years I made a killing from promoting OutSurance, but too many people started to promote it and the income dried up. I stayed within the Insurance niche and now make my most money in that niche from promoting Hollard Pay as you Drive. It pays less per lead but I actually earn more per month from it.
