Fwendz – Mobile Phone Business

Join Fwendz today

Money with your cell phone

Here is a business everybody can join and you do not need the Internet for this one, you can use your mobile phone for it.

The concept is very easy;
You join the business circle and then invite others to join the business circle as well. You will earn R1.00 per month on each person in your business circle up to 5 levels. Up to 5 levels means that you also earn commission on the people your recruits refer. If you think R1.00 is not much, think for a moment how many people are using something like Mxit? (more than 2 million if I am not mistaken)

But that is not all, you can also buy discounted pre-paid airtime using the system plus you can get a free 086 fax number. You will also earn a small commission on the pre-paid airtime people in your business circle buy and on the faxes they receive on their 086 fax number.

What does it cost?

Another Paid Survey

In Your Opinion

Your Opinion

Although regular readers might know that I am not very keen on Paid Surveys, I will report on them because many people are looking for Paid Surveys in order to make money online.

I stumbled upon another Paid Survey company and this one make a bit more sense than the others I tried so far.

First of all it is FREE to join which is a  big bonus.

They work on a system where you get paid an amount for each online survey you complete. They also reward you points and add your name to a lucky draw. The more active you are the more points you earn.

I tested the system and received two Surveys within the first two days.

The first was a lot of bogus with stupid questions, but I still earned one Euro for it. What I like about the system is that after your completed the survey you get redirected back to In Your Opinion’s web site and then they ask you what you think about the survey.

The second one was about buying a new car and guess what?;  I could select whether I am from South Africa or not AND I could even select to do it in Afrikaans.

As I said it does not cost you anything to join, so give it a go.

I have not been testing it long enough to earn enough to request a payout. Thus I cannot tell you at this stage whether they are paying or not. I will report on it as we go on. I the mean time try it and let me know what you think.

Afrigator Open to new Blogs

Afrigator

South African based advertising platform, Afrigator, opened their doors to new South African blogs. If you own a blog you can use Afrigator to earn an income with your blog.

But is it worth using it?

All you have to do after you registered (and if you were approved) is to place some code in your blog which will enable your blog to serve some ads from Afrigator. When I registered for this service a year ago it was free, but I see they now charge a activation fee of R250.00 . To give you an idea whether it is worth your while, on this blog I earn about R180 per month from Adgator. Depending on who you believe this blog gets about 20,000 page impressions per month (according to Google Analytics) or 74,000 page impressions per month (according to the Webstat stats on the server).

On my blog it worked fine for a while but then it stopped paying and I removed Adgator from my site and replaced it with Adsense again. The scripts was serving thousands of ads without me being paid a cent for it (see screen shots below). Their policy is that if there are no ads to be served they will serve their own ad and you do not earn something when your own ad is served. But I regularly pop into my site and especially on the second time I tested it there was relevant ads served on my site, yet the system did not record any payment for it.

Dropshippers

Drop Shipping

Today we are looking into a business which offers you three ways of earning a potential income.

The company is called “Dropshippers.co.za” and you will find them at www.dropshippers.co.za .

This is the first Drop Shipping business I am aware of in South Africa.  I know in America it is a very popular way for companies to distribute their products.

What is Drop Shipping?

It is an interface between product suppliers, product promoters and the client.  In short this means that you can sell products online and via Drop Shippers the products will be delivered to your clients on your behalf, thus you do not have to worry about sending the goods or keeping stock.

How do you make money from this?

1. Affiliate Marketing

Since the main topic of this blog is making money from affiliate marketing, adsense, etc I will first look at the affiliate marketing side of the business.

You can register for free as an affiliate. You will get banners and text links which you can use to promote the business. If you refer a client who become a retailer or product supplier you will earn R100 commission. If the client you refer only become a normal user (ie shopper) you still earn R1 commission. Sound Theraphy Affiliate Program

Sound Therapy

Have you ever tried sound therapy to combat stress or to increase your productivity, creativity or general well being?

Many years ago I suffered from depression but did not want to use the normal medication. I ended up at a guy with a Scio Machine. He fixed whatever was wrong with a combination of the Scio and sound therapy. The sound therapy was in the form of CDs with funny sounds recorded on it. The nice thing about it is that you do not have to believe that it will work, you just have to listen to it. The sounds waves are the correct frequency to work on the areas that needs attention.

I paid R250 per CD 6 years ago.

I was now introduced to a program which offers 20 simular sound therapy programs at a once off fee of only R1,000. These programs include ADHD, Energize your thoughts, Increase Creativity, Memory booster, Recharge, Power Sleep, Super learning, etc. So you can see that the series is aimed at a wide spectrum. You can use it for your children or for yourself. Read more »

AdSense or AdDynamo?

AdDynamo

AdDynamo Stats

I see many South African web sites switched to Addynamo.

AdDynamo is a Pay per Click engine, similar to Google Adsense and Adwords. What I like about AdDynamo is that they have the advertising and publishing side on the same site, not like Google where it is two different sites with two different names.

I prefer to support local business where I can and I think Google is operating their business in a mafia way, so I decided to give it a try.

Unfortunately it did not work out very well for me.

It seems like there are not many advertisers using the service yet. The ads displayed on my sites were mostly two Casinos and one Insurance company. I think this could also be the reason why there were hardly any clicks as well.

So I removed the ads as I thought it was a waste of advertising space. For about 8,000 impressions it only earned me R36.44 compared to at least R250 I would earn on average for 8,000 displays on Google ads.  So you can see that it is a huge difference. If it was a small difference I might consider leaving the ads on but the difference is too big.

I just love my job

Smile

Smile

I just love my web sites and my job.

Today I received a small gift in the post, a cheque of $104.65 arrived from ClickBank.

$100 is not money anymore but let me explain why I am so excited about this particular cheque;

I have two Clickbank accounts. The one I opened when I started with affiliate marketing way back in 2000 or 2001.

When I launched my eBook 2 years ago I created a new Clickbank account and stopped using the old one.

But of course on all my web sites were clickbank links which used the old account. I tried to change as much of those old links as I could found.

Obviously I did not change all of those links because somewhere on the world wide web people are still buying products after they clicked on one of my old links.

This cheque was the 5th one I received since I stopped using the old account and I really thought  that by now all the old links would have vanished.

So I earned another $100 without knowing where it comes from. I know it must be some old links I posted somewhere but have no clue where those links are.

This shows you that building your own web site containing affiliate links and Google ads is a long term investment. It is not a quick buck way of making money. Every page and every article you add to your web site can be earning you an income for many years to come.

Gumtree vs DealFish

DealFish

DealFish

I recently had the opportunity to promote a new free classifieds web site as an affiliate. I must say that before the affiliate campaign was launched I did not even know about DealFish (the new site)

I nether understood why people rave about Gumtree and why Gumtree was the third busiest web site in South Africa.  But they must be doing something right because everybody use them. Personally I do not like it at all.

So I am very happy that there is an alternative to Gumtree.

Both sites are rather easy to use and it is easy to register and place an ad.

On the searching and browsing  side I prefer DealFish purely because they do not have all the Google Adsense ads between the real ads. I find the Google ads on Gumtree very confusing and I guess they do not mind that their users confuse the adsense ads with the actual listed ads. Each time when a user accidentally click on the Google ad instead of the real ad they get paid for it, so would it bother them?  Read more »

New Classifieds Web Site

Free Classifieds

Free Classifieds

This is just a short note to let regular readers know that there is a new Free Classifieds web site where you can place ads.

The web site is called DealFish and you will find it at http://www.dealfish.co.za

I gave it a try, it is easy to use and I think it will be great competition for Gumtree.

How Effective are Banner Ads?

If you are running your company’s online marketing campaigns you should read this.

I know a lot of media companies charge hefty fees for running your banner ad campaigns.

Is it really worth the money you pay for it?

In my opinion Banner Ads SUCKS and if you have to pay to put your banner ad on a web site you must be very careful.

Here are my reasons for above comment:

Video as Marketing Tool

How effective is the use of videos as marketing tool on a web site or blog really?

I see some of the Internet Marketing gurus are making a huge fuss about using video on your web site or blog.

I do not know about you, but I just hate it if I open a web site and a video starts to play automatically without giving me the choice whether I would like to watch it or not.

I many cases I closed the web site if I could not find a place to stop the video.

Although many of the guys think this is the next best thing in marketing, me personally thinks it sucks.

My view was confirmed today when I received a newsletter from one of the big online MLM businesses I am involved in.
They said:

After removing the introduction video from the home page and making the video available in the member’s area only, we have seen a 20% increase in conversion rate from new visitor to Trial Member.

Now that proves my point exactly.
