Another Paid Survey

In Your Opinion

Your Opinion

Although regular readers might know that I am not very keen on Paid Surveys, I will report on them because many people are looking for Paid Surveys in order to make money online.

I stumbled upon another Paid Survey company and this one make a bit more sense than the others I tried so far.

First of all it is FREE to join which is a  big bonus.

They work on a system where you get paid an amount for each online survey you complete. They also reward you points and add your name to a lucky draw. The more active you are the more points you earn.

I tested the system and received two Surveys within the first two days.

The first was a lot of bogus with stupid questions, but I still earned one Euro for it. What I like about the system is that after your completed the survey you get redirected back to In Your Opinion’s web site and then they ask you what you think about the survey.

The second one was about buying a new car and guess what?;  I could select whether I am from South Africa or not AND I could even select to do it in Afrikaans.

As I said it does not cost you anything to join, so give it a go.

I have not been testing it long enough to earn enough to request a payout. Thus I cannot tell you at this stage whether they are paying or not. I will report on it as we go on. I the mean time try it and let me know what you think.

Be Motivated Today Proof

BMT Smile

Many people ask to see proof that Be Motivated Today is really working.

Normally I do not like to disclose my income on the various businesses I am involved in for the simple reason that it can be misleading.

Some people may look at the income and think it is not worth pursuing without seeing the bigger picture. Others will think it is more than their monthly income.

Some might look at the amount of effort you had to put in  and compare it to the income, but others might not.

What I like about Be Motivated Today is that the system do the most work for me. Please read my previous post at http://pietpetoors.com/blog/be-motivated-today/

Although the income is not something I can survive on, it does pay some bills. I am happy with the income if I look at what I had to do to earn it.  Another great thing to remember is that I am earning that money every month (or more) whether I work on the business or not.  If you join BMT in my down line you will also receive a free eBook from me where I explain to you exactly what I did to build my BMT network. It is rather simple and I do not spend much time on it.

Different Search Results in Browsers

Search Result Blues

I was looking where a new web site is ranking and was surprised that it was not in the No 1 position when I searched for Boegoeberg 4×4.

I was using FireFox and it showed up in position No 5.

I then switched to Google Chrome and when I search for exactly the same search term “boegoeberg 4×4″ it showed up in the No 1 position as expected.

It would be interesting to know why there is such a difference, both browsers use Google to do the search, why is there a difference in results.

I also tested it with Internet Explorer, but IE uses Bing as default search engine. This setup is totally useless, Boegoeberg 4×4 does not even come up in the top 10 search results in Bing.

Afrigator Open to new Blogs

Afrigator

South African based advertising platform, Afrigator, opened their doors to new South African blogs. If you own a blog you can use Afrigator to earn an income with your blog.

But is it worth using it?

All you have to do after you registered (and if you were approved) is to place some code in your blog which will enable your blog to serve some ads from Afrigator. When I registered for this service a year ago it was free, but I see they now charge a activation fee of R250.00 . To give you an idea whether it is worth your while, on this blog I earn about R180 per month from Adgator. Depending on who you believe this blog gets about 20,000 page impressions per month (according to Google Analytics) or 74,000 page impressions per month (according to the Webstat stats on the server).

On my blog it worked fine for a while but then it stopped paying and I removed Adgator from my site and replaced it with Adsense again. The scripts was serving thousands of ads without me being paid a cent for it (see screen shots below). Their policy is that if there are no ads to be served they will serve their own ad and you do not earn something when your own ad is served. But I regularly pop into my site and especially on the second time I tested it there was relevant ads served on my site, yet the system did not record any payment for it.

Dropshippers

Drop Shipping

Today we are looking into a business which offers you three ways of earning a potential income.

The company is called “Dropshippers.co.za” and you will find them at www.dropshippers.co.za .

This is the first Drop Shipping business I am aware of in South Africa.  I know in America it is a very popular way for companies to distribute their products.

What is Drop Shipping?

It is an interface between product suppliers, product promoters and the client.  In short this means that you can sell products online and via Drop Shippers the products will be delivered to your clients on your behalf, thus you do not have to worry about sending the goods or keeping stock.

How do you make money from this?

1. Affiliate Marketing

Since the main topic of this blog is making money from affiliate marketing, adsense, etc I will first look at the affiliate marketing side of the business.

You can register for free as an affiliate. You will get banners and text links which you can use to promote the business. If you refer a client who become a retailer or product supplier you will earn R100 commission. If the client you refer only become a normal user (ie shopper) you still earn R1 commission. Get an Expert to Help you Grow Your Business

Expert Help

I attended a talk at the local Business Forum a while ago about expert help you can get for your business.

The speaker was introduced as somebody who can give (almost) free expert advice to small businesses.

My first reactions was “Ye, sure, some government organization help all the poor “previously disadvantaged” business people while forgetting about the currently disadvantaged people”

I am happy to say that I was totally WRONG.

This is an excellent concept and it boils down to the fact that if your business meets the criteria you can get an expert in the field to come and assist you to take your business to the next level at almost no cost. Read more »

The Vuvuzela

Vuvuzela

Kick the Vuvu Out

The most idiotic instrument ever invented.

South Africa is currently hosting the biggest sporting event ever but unfortunately a small plastic device is ruining it all for spectators.

I find it extremely hard to watch a game with all these vuvucraps making a dreadful noise.

Unfortunately somebody started to spread the word that the “Vuvuzela is part of the South African tradition”

It might be the tradition of a handful of football fans but it is not a tradition of all South Africans.

On one Football forum a guy from the USA said

I feel bad for fans like you. I was so looking forward to an African cup and seeing more African traditions yet all I get is stupid plastic horns and that is what South Africa will be remembered for.

I hope that they will soon ban the Vuvuzelas from the 2010 World Cup. Read more »

Start Your Own Business as Nail Technician

Nail Business

Nail Business

Let’s look at an “off-line” business concept for a change.

There are many people who are looking for a way to make money or who are looking for ideas to start their own businesses.

Today we look at an idea for the Ladies:

Did you know that the manicuring, pedicuring, and artificial nail industry have a combined sales figure  of more than R42 billion per year? It is one of the fastest-growing and most creative, rewarding, and high-paying professions in cosmetology today.

It always amazes me to see what high priority woman put on cosmetics and other “look good” products, even if their budget is tight. For you as potential business owner this is a good sign.  As a man I cannot imagine that you have to pay somebody to paint your nails or do your make-up, but for a woman it is so important that they will sacrifice a week’s chocolate money just for a new set of nails.

There is a company in Pretoria who offers various courses on nails, permanent make up, professional make up, hair extensions and all those nice things woman knows about.

I looked at their concept and think it is a rather good idea. There are many young ladies who do not have a proper job or who cannot find a job and I think this should be a good business to get started in as there is demand for it. The way I see it you can also start small from home and later on go bigger. The knowledge you gain from the courses can also position you better to find a job at a beauty salon one day.

Greedy FIFA in it for themselves

Soccer?

It is very frustrating to see what power the mafia FIFA has over South Africa.

Obviously what they do is not to the benefit of the country but to the benefit of their own pockets.

I wonder who in our government received how big bribes to bring the silly soccer to South Africa?

It is said that South Africa so far spent R63 Billion on infrastructure for the world cup soccer, while the country has a huge unemployment figure and people living in shacks and dreadful conditions. With the R63 billion we could provide housing for more than 600,000 families in South Africa. Or we could provide food for a year to 5 million poor people in South Africa.

What upsets me even more is the way FIFA bully and manipulate everybody in the country. I see in this morning’s City Press (sorry, that article has been deleted, try this link) that our country will not even be allowed to charge FIFA tax on most of the revenue they bring in. Thus they will bring the money into the country and take it out with them without South Africa ever seeing a cent of benefit from it.

Here is an excerpt of the article:

A senior government official said: “Fifa are a bunch of thugs. Not even the UN expects you to sign away your tax base. These mafiosos do.” Read more »

Sound Theraphy Affiliate Program

Sound Therapy

Have you ever tried sound therapy to combat stress or to increase your productivity, creativity or general well being?

Many years ago I suffered from depression but did not want to use the normal medication. I ended up at a guy with a Scio Machine. He fixed whatever was wrong with a combination of the Scio and sound therapy. The sound therapy was in the form of CDs with funny sounds recorded on it. The nice thing about it is that you do not have to believe that it will work, you just have to listen to it. The sounds waves are the correct frequency to work on the areas that needs attention.

I paid R250 per CD 6 years ago.

I was now introduced to a program which offers 20 simular sound therapy programs at a once off fee of only R1,000. These programs include ADHD, Energize your thoughts, Increase Creativity, Memory booster, Recharge, Power Sleep, Super learning, etc. So you can see that the series is aimed at a wide spectrum. You can use it for your children or for yourself. Read more »

Goals on Target

I was asked to evaluate a new South African initiative called GoalsOnTarget.

If you are looking for a way to make money online without buy anything or paying any subscription fees, then this is it.
What co-owner, Riaan van der Linde, did here is to create a system which will help you to setup goals and to manage and maintain your goals.

We all know how crucially important well defined goals are in making a success.

But how will setting up your goals make you money?

De Lange based the membership on a MLM structure, thus you can refer people to the system. You and all your members can register for free. Read more »
