45 Success Tips in MLM

I received these tips from one of my uplines some years ago. I do not know who wrote it but I do know that the advice in this document helped me a lot in my MLM career. I hope that you will benefit from it too.

45 SUCCESS TIPS in NETWORK MARKETING

1. A correct start must include written goals and plans.

2. Don’t wait for everything to be exactly right to start.
IT NEVER WILL!!! Start now, with whatever you have. The things you need, will come to you as you work towards your goal.

3.  Realize that “rejection” is natural. For every 20 people you contact, expect 19 “no’s” for every “yes”. You may very well do better than that, but expect 19 rejections. This way, the rejections won’t bother you because you expect them. Also, realize that they’re not rejecting YOU – they’re simply rejecting an idea. Just keep moving ahead. Be persistent, ignore the rejections, and you’ll
get more than enough “yes’s” to build a highly successful business.

4. Always remember SWSWSWSWN: Some will. Some won’t. So what?. Someone’s waiting. Next!!

5. Treat your network marketing business as a serious, full-time business, and it will become one.

6. Follow-ups are just as important as the initial contact. If a person hasn’t joined yet, following
up with more exciting information can turn the tide. Many people report that they get their best people after following up 3-5 times.

7. Be patient. You’ll work the hardest your first six months and get compensated the least.
Big incomes never happen overnight in network marketing. They only come after you’ve properly shown your personally sponsored people (YOUR DOWNLINE) how to duplicate your efforts.

8. Network marketing is a numbers game. If you can add communication, regular contact and
empathy to the package, success is already placed in your hands.

9. Don’t give your downline unrealistic expectations.

10. Be willing (if the need arises) to invest more money into your business than you get out of it in the beginning.

11. DON’T QUIT. The only way to fail is if you GIVE UP.

12. When you join a business. Contact your upline or the staff of the company you are involved in and get their help and suggestions of how to grow your business.

13. They are obliged to give you all the support and help you need to succeed with your business.

14.  Ask for people’s opinion on the opportunity. It’s a good way to determine what objections they might have to joining and also allows you the chance to overcome those objections and sponsor them. You never recruit, you sponsor. Keep that in mind.

15. Formulate a plan of weekly activity and be persistent in following it (if you fail to plan, you plan to fail). Sticking to your plan is essential for success.

16. Assist those you sponsor as much as you can. Help them sponsor their first level of members. Let them know that you offer your support. Teach your distributors the importance of doing the same. In helping others become successful, you help yourself become successful. It’s also a wonderful way to make life-long friends.

17. Don’t mail out a few brochures or contact a few people and expect the money to start rolling in. Expect to work your business consistently for 1-3 years before seeing a really substantial income.

18. though network marketing is one of the few businesses where you can earn while you learn, think of your first six months primarily as a training period. Don’t expect large earnings until you’ve educated yourself.

19. Don’t waste time on sceptics or non-motivated people. They will not succeed in your business or any other similar endeavour. They do not possess the qualities of a winner (this includes “rocking-chair advisors” who talk and talk, seem to know all the answers, but never act.)

20. Always replace the people in your organization who do not succeed.

21.  Don’t constantly whine and complain to your upline or network marketing company. Realize that what you accomplish is mainly in your hands – no one else’s. Also realize that, when you see a problem, 90 % of the time there are factors you are unaware of . Don’t jump to conclusions. When you have a problem, present it in concise letter as positive, constructive criticism. Offer solutions if possible, too. Not only will this approach get you better results, but you’ll be building your relationship with your upline/network marketing company instead of tearing it down.

22.  Don’t do things for your downline that they should do for themselves – or you will create “cripples”.

23. FOCUS!!! You cannot become successful in network marketing trying to do many things at once. We know people out there that are involved in 30 + businesses. That is doomed to fail.

24.  Always present yourself and your business in a professional and ethical manner.

25.  Stick to the facts. Don’t exaggerate the opportunity.

26. Lead by example. Do all things you want your downline to emulate.

27.  Learn as much as you can about the opportunity you are working.

28.  Avoid promoting your business in any way that causes your prospects to say to themselves, “Oh now I see how this network marketing thing works, but I could never do that “. In other words, if you are to succeed, your prospects must always be able to envision themselves doing what you’re doing.

29. Think BIG!!! Small desire produces small results just as small fires produce little heat.

30.  Know that most people crave recognition. RECOGNIZE your members who are doing good things with praise and rewards. Keep the contact with them close.

31. Communicate constantly! Keep in touch with everyone in your downline regularly. For your key people, make it daily if possible. The methods you can use are numerous like the chat webpage, team webpage, newsletters, meetings, presentations, phone calls, email, voice mail, faxes, postcards etc.

32. Ask for referrals. Ask, E.g. ” Do you know anyone who might be looking to earn some extra money?”

33. Always be ENTHUSIASTIC!!!

34. When you come over new marketing / promotional methods that work really good. Share them with the people in your organization. Remember, DUPLICATION!!!!!

35.  Build a list of contacts. Add to it daily.

36.  Listen to tapes on network marketing and business kits that you can buy. Listen again and again until you’ve totally absorbed them.

37. Don’t become obsessed with sponsoring a ‘heavy hitter”. Instead, learn how to be a heavy hitter yourself.

38. Be organized, but don’t allow the act of organizing to keep you from the real important things: marketing – Sponsoring – and Training.

39. Don’t let little problems upset you. Concentrate on the many positives  … and the
BIG PICTURE”.

40.  Always remember that the only thing that will never change is that there will always be changes. Like #36, don’t let changes upset you. Know that you will have to deal with changes and other obstacles, both big and small, continually. Be prepared to be flexible.

41.  Don’t be a negative thinker and don’t let the negative attitudes of others (even if they’re family members, friends, or peers) influence you. All the great men and women in history had to overcome the naysayer’s that said it couldn’t be done – and then went out and did it.
Think for Yourself.!!!

42.  Don’t be derailed by “perfection paralysis”. Realize that you won’t be able to do everything perfectly. Do the best Job you can, then move on to the next project. Most important is to
KEEP MOVING in the right direction.

43.  Read books (such as napoleon Hill’s classic, “Think and Grow rich”) that will convince you how powerful your mind really is. Develop the tremendous potential in you (that we all have0 that has never been tapped!!!

44. Have FUN!! People can’t resist someone having fun. Make your business so much fun that others will flock to you to join you.

45.  Remember always …. “IF IT’s TO BE, IT’s UP TO ME.” In respect of Web related networks you are stuck out on your own. All you have is yourself. You are VERY fortunate if you have contact with your downline and extremely fortunate if you have contact with your upline and company.

NOT being consistently consistent!!!!!

Didn’t this all happen to us:

You got excited, put in an intense week of network marketing. You went all out – the works. Actually sponsored some people…. Got yourself some results. Then it creeps in. Next week you don’t hit it as hard. Lay off it, kick back….. after all you worked hard last week and the whole reason you got into network marketing is to buy back your time.
BIG MISTAKE!!! Once you get the ball rolling.. keep it rolling … don’t ease off!!!

Network Marketing is built on the concept of compound interest. You know, the old example, how much money would you have, if you doubled a cent every day for thirty days?  Multiply it out on paper and you’ll discover it’s over five million rand. But look at each day individually on the 10th day it’s only R5.12 and it doesn’t even break the thousand rand barrier until the 18th day. So it’s hard to believe that by day 30 that cent has grown into the millions.

But that’s the magic of compound interest… it feeds on itself!!! But it takes time for the compounding to take effect. If you spent your thousand bucks on day 18 instead of keeping it working for you, you’d never reach the 5 million rand payday. And you’d have to start all over again from zero with a new cent and another 30 days.

Multi level marketing works exactly the same way. The time you put into it feeds on itself. If you put 20 hours one week, 2 hours the next and nothing the week after that but “make up for it” by giving it some extra time the following week, your results will be weak. Even though you may have averaged 10 hours a week, it was in fits and starts. You’re not giving the compounding a chance to take hold. Not giving your business consistent
time every week is the excat same thing as spending the thousand bucks on day 18!!! You’ll always be starting all over again from zero.

Are you willing to pay the price for Network Marketing riches? There’s no getting around paying your dues. Network Marketing really can provide you with money for the rest of your life but it’s not free and it won’t happen in your first month or even your first 6 months. It takes being consistentlyconsistent for at least 0 – 4 years!! Every single week block out your Networking time. I suggest you give at least 8 productive hours a week … 8 productive hours. That means you plan your business. Don’t start your week (or your day for that matter) before you finish it on paper first.

Plan your actions

Plan your advertisements

Plan your advertising venues

Be ready to deal with prospective downline when they respond

Remain totally committed to assist them in their Networking efforts until they are as good as, or better than you are.

BE CONSISTENTLY CONSISTENT EVERY DAY!!!

GOODLUCK!!!!
